BAZOOKA GOLD TRAP SLUICE "MINER" FINDING GOLD!

Running the Bazoka Gold Trap "Miner" on the Little north Fork Santiam River in Oregon finding some gold. The water was extremely high, so we were very limited on where we could dig and set up the sluice. You will notice the water pulsing in the sluice, which didn't seem to affect recovery, but it was annoying and clogged the grizzlies at times. The water dropped about 6 inches throughout the day, which further complicated the running of the sluice. We would have loved an inch or two more water on the top of the sluice and a more steady flow, but we made it work great with what we were given. We found one nice piece that rolled in the pan, very thick and round. Also got a decent flake. Not much gold total for the day. We were digging in water in both places we dug at, and we were well out of the channel up on the edge of the bank. looking forward to going back when the water level is more favorable - we have some spots to dig that look very promising.
