Rape of Rattlesnake Canyon Gold Claims by the US Forest Service.wmv

Rattlesnake Canyon is a Historic Gold Mining Area with Gold Mining activity dating back prior to the Civil War. Recently the National Forest Service "NFS" has fenced and gated off existing BLM Legal Access Routes (roadways) in this area. Some of these roadways have are 100+ years old. The public is now denied reasonable accfess to these areas which are popular for recreation and recreational gold mining. This area is frequented by Gold prospectors using both metal detectors and drywashers. Both forms of prospecting are legal in this area. In addition there are a number of legal Gold Claims in this area that are impacted by the fenced areas.
