My friend Pete and I finally got together for some prospecting at the Queen Canyon area. I can tell you the name now because I have tested the entire place and there is not much in the way of gold there. But it's an itch I have wanted to scratch for over a decade and finally got it done. We had a great time though. The scenery was fantastic as were the stars at night. It seemed like we had the whole world to ourselves out there. In this first part we start high up at an elevation of about 8600 feet. After running material through the dry washer most of the day we headed down to start getting dinner ready.
